the visions series where i take daydreams, nightmare, any 'vision' i get in my head and make something. i started it to get out some negative emotions i was feeling at the time. now this series is about native american mythology and how we connect with the earth, turtle island.
'warning' is about just that, a warning. an owl is sitting in a weeping willow tree as a wildfire begins to burn a forest during the a full moon. owls are omens for death in my tribe (kiowas).
this is one of four illustrations i did, capturing the events of the night as a wildfire engulfs a hillside.
