My main objective as a Color Key Artist on this project was to provide the lighting team with more than 15 paint-overs of unlit stills from a rough animatic. The paint-overs showed the direction of the lighting and helped describe the forms of characters. It was imperative that these paintovers were detailed and accurate as their were used as direct reference for the lighting team. I was provided a style guide with layer guides, color hex codes and a brush pack to make sure everything was cohesive along with feedback provided by my team, including my art director Molly Cooper, and our partners at Sony/Columbia Pictures.
